Christopher M. Neuman joined the IPTM staff in 2000 as an adjunct faculty member. He is currently a Captain with the Wisconsin State Patrol, having joined that organization in 1985.
Earlier in his career with the Wisconsin State Patrol, Captain Neuman served as a state patrol inspector and trooper, and traffic crash reconstructionist. He is the recipient of several Exceptional Performance Awards, Meritorious Service Award and Governor’s Award for Outstanding Personal Achievement.
Captain Neuman is a Department of Justice master instructor and teaches various topics such as traffic law, juvenile law, speed computer, police traffic RADAR and police traffic LASER. He serves in an advisory capacity for the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Training and Standards Bureau and represents the Division as a guest speaker at various Department of Transportation and Judicial conferences. He attended Northwestern University Traffic Institute’s School of Police Staff and Command, and the University of North Florida, Institute of Police Technology and Management’s Police Traffic RADAR and LASER Instructor programs.
Captain Neuman is the Director of Training for the Wisconsin State Patrol and responsible for all operations of the Wisconsin State Patrol Academy.
