Ward Holton began his law enforcement career with the Georgia State Patrol in January 1993 and holds the rank of senior trooper. Mr. Holton is currently a member of Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT) since May 2000 and is stationed in Valdosta. The SCRT is a thirty (30) man team which investigates prosecutable fatal traffic crashes throughout the state of Georgia. Mr. Holton has investigated over 1,000 traffic crashes and over 300 fatal crashes in his tenure with the patrol. He has also testified as an expert in the field of crash reconstruction in criminal and civil trials and depositions.
Mr. Holton attended North Florida Junior College and holds a Bachelors Degree from Valdosta State College in Business Administration (B.A.). Mr. Holton became an adjunct with IPTM in 2002. Mr. Holton has attended and taught IPTM’s At-Scene Traffic Crash Investigation, Advanced Traffic Crash Investigation, Traffic Crash Reconstruction, and Commercial Motor Vehicle courses.
Mr. Holton’s professional associations are the Professional Society of Forensic Mapping (PSFM), South Carolina Association of Reconstruction Society (SCARS) and Southeastern Accident Reconstruction Society (SEARS).
