Sergeant Christopher Sanchez joined IPTM’s staff as an adjunct instructor in 2012 and has been with the Massachusetts State Police since 1988, currently assigned to Special Operations – Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Section. He completed the Basic and Advanced Crash Investigation courses in 1988 and 1989 and has been a reconstructionist since 1998. He is the Lead Instructor in crash investigation for the Massachusetts State Police Academy; the State Police Municipal Academy; the Special State Police Officer Academy and holds a Level IV Instructor certification with the Municipal Police Training Committee in the field of Traffic Crash Investigation. In 2010, he developed a revolutionary, statewide credit course where firefighters and emergency medical personnel are trained in what crash reconstructions are and how to preserve vital evidence.
He is a court recognized expert in both Massachusetts District and Superior Courts. He is a NHTSA certified child seat safety technician; served as an instructor for the AARP Older Driver Safety Program and as a member of AARP’s Curriculum Task Force Content Committee. He is accredited by ACTAR.
Sergeant Sanchez has an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Curry College.
