IPTM is very pleased to welcome Attorney Scott Rosenwasser to the Institute of Police Technology and Management Adjunct Staff. He is a phenomenal legal resource representing the State in criminal trials by prosecuting those charged with a crime and he has made it his mission to protect the public by prosecuting career criminals.
Scott Rosenwasser is currently an Assistant State Attorney with the Pinellas County State Attorney’s Office in Clearwater, Florida. He has been an Assistant State Attorney for 23 years and is currently the Felony Division Chief for Division A. Prior to division chief he was assigned to the Career Criminal Division, a specialized unit dedicated to prosecuting career criminals. Scott has tried over 160 jury trials including First Degree Murder, DUI Manslaughter, Vehicular Homicide, Arson, Armed Robbery, Trafficking, Aggravated Battery, Manslaughter, and Kidnapping.
In addition, he is the team leader of the Traffic Homicide Unit. As a member of this unit, he responds to fatal traffic crashes to assist law enforcement in the on scene investigation and prosecution of the case. He has taught officers from the St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Largo, and Pinellas Park Police Departments as well as the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol regarding the investigation, documentation, prosecution, and testimonial aspects of all major crimes.
Scott Rosenwasser is also an adjunct instructor for St. Petersburg College; St. Petersburg College’s Police Academy, Corrections Academy, and Crossover Academy; Hillsborough County Community College; and Pasco-Hernando State College. Since 2004 he has been an instructor for the Multi-jurisdictional Counterdrug Task Force (MCTFT) where he has taught hundreds of law enforcement officers across the country how to prepare for and testify during trial.
