Carol Jolly joined the IPTM staff full time in 2020 as our Florida Drug Evaluation and Classification Program Coordinator and Impaired Driving Training Coordinator. She will be responsible for managing Florida’s 350 Drug Recognition Experts (DREs), instructors, and scheduling impaired driving training.
Carol began her career in law enforcement at the Hillsborough County (FL) Sheriff’s Office in 2000. She served in many capacities, including midnight shift Patrol Deputy, District DUI Investigator, County-Wide DUI Squad, and DRE. During this time, she conducted approximately 1,200 investigations, resulting in roughly 500 DUI arrests, and dozens of drug arrests. Carol became a certified Drug Recognition Expert in 2008. As a Drug Recognition Expert, she conducted more than 100 drug influence evaluations.
In 2014, Carol joined the State Attorney’s Office in the 13th Judicial Circuit as an Investigator, serving in the Sex Offender/Domestic Violence Division. She maintained her DRE certification and has been teaching DRE and impaired driving courses for IPTM since 2010.
