Darrell Edmonds retired as a police officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Jacksonville, Florida, after 23 years. He served as a patrol officer, field-training officer, DUI Enforcement officer and a Detective assigned as an investigator with the Traffic Homicide Unit. As a Detective within the Traffic Homicide Unit his lifelong appreciation and experience with photography suited him well as both an investigator and a trainer in the discipline of photography.
Mr. Edmonds has attended numerous advanced courses in the area of alcohol, drug and traffic related programs, to include DUI Instructor, DUI Case Preparation and Courtroom Presentation, In Car Video Taping, Drug Evaluation and Classification Program (DECP), DECP Instructor, At – Scene Traffic Crash, Advanced Traffic Crash, Crash Reconstruction and Instructor Techniques. Mr. Edmonds is the Coordinator of IPTM's DUI and Online Training programs and also the State DRE (DECP) Coordinator. Mr. Edmonds is an instructor in the the DRE (DECP) curriculum, ARIDE curriculum, the 24-hour Standardized Field Sobriety Testing curriculum, Digital Photography for Traffic Crash Investigators and the At-Scene Traffic Homicide Investigation with IPTM.
Mr. Edmonds has qualified as a Florida State Criminal Justice certified instructor and holds an Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
