Introducing 5-Minute Fridays
Welcome to 5-Minute Fridays - our new online video series released on the first Friday of each month. These FREE videos will cover a variety of law enforcement-related topics, including crash investigation, hostage/crisis negotiation, patrol, DUI and traffic enforcement, leadership and management, criminal investigation, forensics, and telecommunications. If you have a topic you'd like us to cover, let us know.
As with most things in law enforcement, five minutes isn't always five minutes - it could be three or it could be eight. Our videos will be the same - some may be more than five minutes others may be less. But, with our subject-matter experts, you can rest assured we'll cover enough of the topic to be a good use of your time. We're creating a library of these videos, so you can view them anytime you have a few minutes to spare.
In our first video, our online training coordinator, Darrell Edmonds, is talking about digital photography. He simplifies the Exposure Triangle to help you capture a properly exposed image.
You can access the videos at bit.ly/5MinuteFridays. We'll announce the new training video releases each month on Facebook and Twitter. Be sure to follow us so you don’t miss these informative FREE training opportunities!
Did you know that IPTM offers more than forty online training programs? We have 40 and 80-hour instructor-led courses that follow the same curriculum as our face-to-face courses. Our independent study courses range from two to forty hours; you can start when you want and work at your own pace. And, if you need in-depth information on a particular subject and are short on time, our Videos on Demand (VoD) are a great resource. View the online course catalog for more information.
