Bring IPTM to Your Agency!

Why IPTM?

The Institute of Police Technology and Management was created and designed to provide cost-effective, cutting-edge, high quality training to the criminal justice community, thus enhancing the quality of service provided by law enforcement to our communities. IPTM delivers in excess of 400 courses annually to more than 8,000 law enforcement professionals across the country and around the world. For more than 40 years, IPTM has been the leader in law enforcement training. Our highly qualified faculty and our commitment to meeting the needs of our students have earned IPTM the reputation it has today.

We offer the following options for training at your location:

  1. Host an IPTM Course
  2. Contract Training

Host an IPTM Course

We can bring any of our professional training courses right to your department on an open tuition basis. And with our current host incentives, there's no better time than now. It's an easy way to save both training and travel costs while maintaining the same quality and standards that you have come to expect from IPTM.

Here's how it works:

You host the class and aggressively network the course with area agencies. IPTM will supply you with materials to help spread the word and also list the course on the IPTM website and in other advertisements, as available. Once the course has been confirmed to run, you will receive two free seats as the course host.

Need help with promotion?

Think out of the box. You can partner with other local agencies and split your free seats. You can also promote through the Chiefs/Sheriffs Association or other groups and share free seats with them. The possibilities are endless. Just remember, a minimum number of paid registrations (dependent upon the specific course) will be necessary before IPTM can confirm the class to go.

This is a cost-effective way to maintain the professional training standards of your department and provide a valuable service to area agencies. Plan now while these host incentives are in place.

IPTM will provide:

  • Highly qualified instructors who are experts in their given specialties
  • Student materials and supplies
  • Technical assistance in the promotion, preparation and evaluation of each course
  • A certificate of completion for each student that completes the course along with any other qualifying credit

Your agency need only provide:

  • A classroom capable of seating the attendees, or a lab if the course is forensic in nature
  • Audio and visual equipment for the instructors
  • Assistance with any special logistical needs for practical exercises, depending upon the course
  • Aggressive promotion to area agencies and through law enforcement groups

To host a course at your agency, please complete our no-obligation course host form and our off-site training coordinator will contact you as soon as possible.

Contract Training

How does contract training work?

An agency can contract with IPTM to bring a specific course to the agency for a set price. These courses can be tailored to fit the particular needs of the agency. The seats can be filled by whomever the contracting agency prefers, e.g. it can be limited to the contracting agency's personnel or made multi-jurisdictional and open to outside agencies.

IPTM will provide:

  • Highly qualified instructors who are experts in their given specialties
  • Student materials and supplies
  • A certificate of completion for each student who successfully completes the course
  • Technical assistance required to prepare, conduct and evaluate each program
