Cameron Pucci

Cameron Pucci


Cameron Pucci was named the newest director of IPTM on July 1, 2013. Ms. Pucci joined the IPTM staff in 1988, and had served as associate director since 2006. Ms. Pucci has been involved with all aspects of the planning and management of police training programs during her 27 years of service. She has also served in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer involved in budgeting and costing of all programs and day-to-day operations of IPTM. Ms. Pucci is a graduate of the University of North Florida holding a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration in corporate finance.
Al Roop

Kevin "Al" Roop

Assistant Director of Administration

Al Roop came to IPTM in 1999 after 12 years with the South Daytona, Florida Police Department. He joined the Institute staff as a training specialist in the drug and alcohol section and specializes in a variety of traffic safety fields including occupant protection, DUI enforcement, and breath alcohol testing. During the last several years, he has managed grant programs, developed new courses and coordinated special projects for the Institute. Mr. Roop holds an associate's degree in computer science, a bachelor’s degree in organizational management, and special instructor certifications in several traffic safety fields.
Bruce Herring

Bruce Herring

Assistant Director of Training

Mr. Herring came to IPTM in September 1992 after a distinguished career with the United States Air Force, where he served as a security police patrolman and Command Leadership School instructor. He also served as a special agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, initially as a criminal investigator and later as a forensic science consultant. He has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Troy State University (Alabama) and a Master of Forensic Science degree from George Washington University (D.C.). Mr. Herring currently manages all of the training programs at IPTM and oversees the development of new courses.

Candice Leek

Assistant Director | FTO & Dispatcher Section Coordinator

Ms. Leek joined the IPTM staff after retiring from the Palm Bay, Florida Police Department. At the time of her retirement she was the commander of Field Operations and had served as the Acting-Chief of Police. Her responsibilities included managing uniform patrol, the traffic unit, the K-9 unit, the tactical team and the selective enforcement unit. She also had served as a patrol officer, patrol sergeant and patrol lieutenant as well as field training officer, FTO supervisor and FTO program manager. Ms. Leek also worked in the detective bureau, supervised the mounted unit, worked in Internal Affairs and served as a background investigator. Ms. Leek wrote and managed the department budget and worked TDY assignments with the Florida Marine Patrol and the Florida Freshwater Fish & Game Commission.

Ms. Leek worked in the People's Republic of China as a criminal justice instructor representing the United States, participated as a member of the US/Mexican Matamoros Task Force and is a consultant and resource for many law enforcement agencies at the local, state, federal and international level.

For IPTM, Ms. Leek currently coordinates and provides instruction for the FTO Program course series and manages the Telecommunications/Dispatcher course series.
Donnie Barker

Criminal Investigations | Forensic Coordinator

Mr. Donnie Barker joined the Institute Staff in January 1999 as a training specialist responsible for the development and presentation of training programs in the criminal investigative field and traffic crash investigations. He began his law enforcement career with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office as a crime scene investigator. In the Forensics Sciences Section, he served as a forensic science specialist, unit shift supervisor, on-call major case supervisor, FTO Unit coordinator, and Unit Training coordinator.

Mr. Barker’s teaching background is extensive with over 22 years of professional forensic science instruction with various consulting companies and universities throughout the United States, Southern Europe, Asia, the South Pacific, and the Middle East. He is a regular speaker at Forensic and Crash conferences.

With 27 Years of law enforcement experience and consultation, Mr. Barker has developed his expertise in all areas of criminal and crash investigations, with specific emphasis on the evidence at the scene of occurrence. He is an experienced courtroom witness and is certified as a courtroom expert in the fields of Crime Scene Processing, Fingerprint Processing, Blood Presumptive Testing and Bloodstain Pattern Interpretation.
Teresa Dioquino

Teresa R. Dioquino

Leadership and Management Section Coordinator

Teresa R. Dioquino joined the IPTM staff in 1992 as an adjunct faculty member and became the coordinator of the Leadership and Management Section in 2013.

Ms. Dioquino retired at the rank of captain after 29 years of service with the Pinellas County Florida Sheriff's Office. Prior to her retirement, she commanded the Special Operations Division within the Patrol Operations Bureau, and was responsible for more than 300 assigned personnel and the fiscal management of a $14 million budget. She was previously assigned as the commander of the Criminal Investigations Division and the Inspections Bureau. Prior to her appointment to captain, she was assigned as a lieutenant in the Patrol Operations Bureau, Special Operations Division and shift commander for the Central District Station. As a sergeant, Ms. Dioquino supervised the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program and served in the Administrative Investigations Division.

Ms. Dioquino received an Associate of Arts degree in police administration from St. Petersburg College and a Bachelor of Science degree in criminology from the Florida State University. She is a certified Drug Recognition Expert and Instructor. Ms. Dioquino is an active member of the National Sheriffs Association, Florida Sheriff's Association and Drug Recognition Expert Section of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
Russell Strickland

Russell Strickland

Traffic Crash Section Coordinator

Russell Strickland joined the IPTM adjunct staff in 2004 and became the Traffic Crash Section coordinator in 2014. He teaches all levels of crash reconstruction and investigation. Russell retired in 2016, after 25 years as a police officer with the City of Fairfield Ohio Police Department. He began his career in 1991 and spent many years as a detective in the investigations division. He was in charge of the traffic investigation unit and oversaw all aspects of crash investigation and reporting for the city.

He has served as traffic crash safety coordinator for the Tulsa University Crash Reconstruction Research Consortium, organized and participated in numerous research projects in crash reconstruction, and co-authored numerous papers. He is the owner and operator of Collision Consultants LLC, a crash reconstruction consulting company based in Liberty Township, Ohio. He holds a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice police sciences from Mountain State University. Russell is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR).
Harry Walters

Harry Walters

Traffic Enforcement Section Coordinator

Mr. Walters came to IPTM in July 1990 after 16 years with the Broward County Sheriff's Office, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. During his years there, he served as a patrol deputy, narcotics agent, dignitary protection, and traffic motorcycle officer / instructor. He has also served with the Florida Marine Patrol, as an auxiliary officer. He joined the IPTM staff as a training specialist for a variety of traffic enforcement courses, including Criminal Interdiction, DUI and Traffic Stop Safety. Since 1993, Mr. Walters has been course director/instructor for the Police Motorcycle Programs and Training. He also coordinates all traffic enforcement programs and provides instruction for a number of those programs. Mr. Walters holds special instructor certifications in several traffic enforcement fields, and attended Broward Community College and St. Thomas College, Miami.
Darrell Edmonds

Darrell Edmonds

Florida DRE Coordinator and DUI | Online Training Program Coordinator

Darrell Edmonds retired as a police officer with the Jacksonville (Florida) Sheriff’s Office after 23 years, where he served as a patrol officer, field-training officer, DUI Enforcement officer and a detective assigned as an investigator with the Traffic Homicide Unit.  He is the coordinator of IPTM's DUI and Online Training programs and the State DRE (DECP) coordinator. Mr. Edmonds is an instructor in the DRE (DECP), ARIDE and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing curriculums as well as the Digital Photography for Traffic Crash Investigators and At-Scene Traffic Crash/Traffic Homicide Investigation courses. He has qualified as a Florida State Criminal Justice certified instructor and holds an Associate of Science degree in criminal justice.

Ed Doyle

Central Florida Site Coordinator

Mr. Doyle joined the IPTM staff in December 2003. He served as a law enforcement officer in Florida for 36 years, until his retirement in November 2003. Five of those were with the Office of the State Attorney in Orlando and the remainder with the Maitland Police Department. His final fourteen years were as Maitland's Police Chief. Mr. Doyle is currently the Central Florida Site Coordinator. He is graduate of Rollins College, the FBI National Academy and the Florida Police Chief's Executive Institute. He is on the Board of Directors of the Florida Intelligence Unit and has represented the Florida Police Chief's Association on the Florida Police Standard and Training Commission.
Trish Holley

Trish Holley

Training Specialist

Mrs. Holley joined the IPTM staff in January 1985. Her current duties include the maintenance and production of all student manuals, handouts/student equipment and technical documentation for all IPTM classes. She also coordinates the student course materials assembly and worldwide distribution.

Diana Bednarik

Graphic Designer

Ms. Bednarik produces brochures, catalogs and other advertising materials for the courses and products that IPTM offers. She holds bachelor's degrees in both Graphic Design and Literature from the University of North Florida. Ms. Bednarik joined the IPTM staff in April 2000.
Andy James

Richard "Andy" James

Coordinator Training Programs

Mr. James joined the IPTM staff in August 2001 as a training specialist for the Public Safety Institute in Altamonte Springs, Florida. In 2005, he re-located to the Jacksonville office where he currently serves as the off-site training coordinator. His responsibilities include scheduling and logistical support for contracted and off-site tuition courses.
Dan Orel

Dan Orel

Coordinator, IPTM

Dan Orel joined IPTM as the claims assistant in September 2014 and was promoted to coordinator in April 2016. He is responsible for maintaining the financial records and processing claims for IPTM’s grants. He also oversees IPTM's CopShop operations.  As a graduate of the University of North Florida, he is glad to be back on campus.

Leshell Hartney

Marketing Coordinator

Leshell Hartney returned to IPTM in 2017. Ms. Hartney is responsible for the Institute’s marketing and communications efforts, including social media, website. She began her career at IPTM in 1991 and served in a variety of areas before moving to the University of North Florida’s Division of Continuing Education in 1999. She spent the majority of those 17 years promoting the Division of Continuing Education’s training and consulting services.
Linda Cason

Linda Cason

Administrative Assistant

Ms. Cason joined IPTM in 1994. She is the administrative assistant to the director and associate director. Ms. Cason is also the assistant for the Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) Program, Alcohol Section and Radar/Laser Section. She monitors all grants awarded to IPTM, oversees IPTM's Alcohol and Drug Symposium and assists with the Special Problems in Crash Reconstruction conference. Other duties include making the travel arrangements for IPTM's section coordinators and adjunct instructors.

Judy Schneider

Office Manager

Mrs. Schneider joined the IPTM staff in April 2003. Her responsibilities include administrative support for the director, as well as handling the daily office operations that include accounts payable, payroll and cash receipts. She assists with processing off-site course contracts and complete requested W-9 and Vendor Information forms.

Adam Harpstrite

Online Training System Administrator

Adam Harpstrite joined IPTM in April 2016. He handles the publications sales and service for our WebStore. Adam also coordinates all shipping needs of offsite courses and events.

Kayla Rodriguez


Kayla Rodriguez is the registrar and joined IPTM's team in March 2015. She handles registrations, confirmation letters and certificates.

A native of Jacksonville, Ms. Rodriguez received her A.A. from Florida State College of Jacksonville. She is currently working on her bachelor's degree in public health at the University of North Florida.
